Video Catcher cards in this series uses Mpeg4 compression which gives you a faster refresh rate for video display and recording. You can do remote monitoring/recording using modem dial-up or through high speed internet (such as ADSL, Cable etc) for reaching maximum performance. It also has LAN capabilities for multiple user. Video Catcher in this series also provides up to 16 video input. Common Features:Video Recording:

What’s New
The
following is a summary of new enhancements added to version 2.0 of the
software: Windows 2000 and
Windows XP Ready The Video Catcher Elite 4/16 is now ready
for use on the Win98SE, Windows 2000 and Windows XP Operating Systems. Individual Image
Control Starting with version 2.0, our new device
driver will allow the user to adjust camera setting such as Hue,
Saturation, Brightness, and Contrast individually. This may be important
as each camera may be located in different environments so that individual
control may be essential in order to achieve the best picture possible. Mix of B/W and Colour
Cameras Previous version of the Video Catcher Elite
could not have a mix of B/W and Color cameras. This problem has been
addressed and is now supported by the Video Catcher Elite. New Driver The Video Catcher Elite 4/16 now has a new
driver, which provides more stable videos and allows us to operate with
new operating systems such as Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The Following are Specifically for
Elite Series Only: Duplex The Video Catcher Elite 4/16 can
monitor/record live videos and playback recorded video files at the same
time. Key frame Frequency
Control MPEG4 compression is based on the key frame
concept. The key frame is basically a reference video frame captured
directly from the video source, without reference to previous frames just
like JPEG and Wavelet video frames. The rest of video frames are
calculated based on motion and other video parameters. The more frequent
the key frame is captured, the larger the video bandwidth requirements.
The Video Catcher Elite 4/16 now has a control that lets you specify how
often you want it to record a key frame. Bit Rate Control As mentioned earlier, MPEG4 allows the
compression algorithm to adapt to different bandwidth environments to
achieve the best results. The Bit Rate can now be adjusted via settings in
the Control Properties Window to allow the user to experiment with the
setting to achieve the best results. Since the bandwidth can vary
depending on the time of day such as those offered by ADSL and cable
modems, this level of control is essential to get the best results. Auto Reboot when Connection is Lost
(Video Catcher Elite with Watchdog only) For Video Catcher Elite equipped with
Watchdog feature, the user can choose to reset the computer automatically
when an Internet Connection is lost, so that connection can be
re-established after the computer is reset. Recording and Playing
While
Communicating Via a High Speed Connection, the Video
Catcher Elite can now Record, Playback, and transfer images to the
Client at the same time. Remembering IP
Addresses Using
the Client The Client can now be configured to
remember an IP Address. The address can then be entered with a push of a
button each time the Client is run. Alarm Output
(Option) The Video Catcher Elite
can now have an alarm output selectable per input (single relay), or with
a manual push button to activate other devices. IT is now possible
to remotely control the switching on and off electrical appliances using
the Video Catcher Elite series. The on-board relay is
provided which is capable of supplying approximately 1A of current, enough
to drive light duty electrical equipment. To operate higher current
devices, the on-board relay can be used to drive an off-board, heavy duty
relay which can carry much heavier currents. Consult your qualified local
electrician regarding the proper connections. Minimum System Requirements
