VIDEO CATCHER 16

The video capture 16

The Video Catcher 16 series (PCI bus) is composed of 2 units: a Basic Unit and an Extension Unit. The Basic Unit provides all the common features found with other Video Catcher cards, with expansion capability. By adding an extension kit, video capturing is supported up to 16 videos with a maximum display and recording speed of 30 frames/sec.

This  video capture card employs wavelet compression which gives you an adequate refresh rate for normal video display and recording. It provides expansion capability  which means you can increase video inputs from 4 up to 16. This card comes with or without Watchdog function.

Video Recording:

  • Simultaneous recording: The Video Catcher can record from all video sources simultaneously.
  • Choices of recording modes: Each video can be recorded in different resolutions, or can be recorded in Quad mode.
  • Types of capture modes: Video Catcher provides snapshot capture, timed capture,   alarm capture or motion detection capture modes Alarm recording or continuous recording can be scheduled.
  • Alarm motion detection is on all inputs, activated by pixel change or gray scale.
  • Efficient and flexible video storage: The amount of  video storage depends on the size of hard drive. Software allows overwriting previous recording at the end of the period if desired. Alarm record mode and motion detection allows recording only when alarm is triggered to save storage space.
  • Labeled recording: Each video source is individually labeled and recorded with a time stamp for easy retrieval.
  • Pre-alarm recording: up to 99 frames before alarm triggering can be stored & recorded for each of the video input.

Video Display:

  • Displays live or recorded videos in separate windows
  • Each video window can be scaled to any size & relocated anywhere on the screen & can even overlap
  • Individual labeling of video windows
  • Displays video in the same resolution as the recorded resolution or can be zoomed in for more details.
  • Each video is displayed in Full color.
  • Playback of recorded video at different speeds or frame by frame
  • Playback of recorded video one source at a time or in Quad modes.
  • Video brightness, contrast, hue & saturation control

Remote Monitoring:

  • When one of the alarm input is triggered, live or recorded videos can be sent to another computer anywhere around the world.
  • Remote Video Monitor via dial up modem or internet: One can dial up to the internet or direct dial up to the serving computer to access live or recorded videos stored in the hard disk of the serving computer.
  • Video settings and controls, such as resolution, recording modes can be adjusted from the local or from the remote computer.

Miscellaneous:

  • Two levels of Password control for added security.
  • NTSC / PAL compatible
  • Works under Windows 98/2000/XP
  • Easy Installation
