MLR2-E Multi
Line Digital Receiver
updated and improved MLR2A
Include: flash memory for easy upgrades and individual
line processing. Each line card is hot-swappable and can be programmed
via a PC. Digital Signal Processing (DSP) increases recognition
accuracy, allowing for greater flexibility when adding new features.
The system is
backwards compatible and can also
be fitted with a variety of Sur-Gard line cards including the
DRL2E, and the DVL2A for DVACS*
communication, DRLV-A Single-line
Video Receiver Module,
DRL-IP for network and internet
monitoring , |

Sur-Gard makes
expansion simple with its line card expansion system, giving you the
ability to grow your central monitoring station easily and
economically. Any combination of cards can be added, up to 15 in
total, to the same SG-CPM2 platform.

Expansion
Start off with 2 lines,
and as your requirements increase, simply add on DRL2E line
cards. The MLR2-E can be expanded to a maximum of 30 telephone
lines, requiring 15 DRL2E line cards. The DRL2E is
backwards compatible; if you wish to expand and already have an MLR2-DG,
it is as easy as adding on the new DRL2E module. The system can also
be fitted with a variety of Sur-Gard line cards including the DRL2A,
and the DVL2A for DVACS*
communication.
Diagnostics
The CPM2 systematically
polls each line card and in turn, the line cards supervise the CPM2
polling. Computer verification is tested systematically with heartbeat
test signals and during computer outages all information is stored in
the event memory. The unit will also monitor printer activity to
determine readiness and paper status.
Monitoring
All programming on the
MLR2-E can be verified on the LCD display or printed. Printer events,
computer events and all caller activity can be displayed and
printed for verification. Generous data memory allows for a large
event buffer.
DNIS and Caller ID
* Dialled Number Identification
System The MLR2-E
receiver utilizes DNIS signal management; this feature permits faster
response to an incoming call, reducing online time and therefore,
provides extensive savings to the central station. Built-in Caller ID
allows the operator to trace misprogrammed or malfunctioning diallers,
as well as interference.
Profiles
Using DNIS and Caller ID
allows the profile to be selected before the call is answered and
configures the line card to provide the correct handshake first, saving
you on-line time and increasing efficiency – the first handshake is
always the correct handshake. Dedicated equipment for specific tasks is
no longer needed.
Program memory space to spare-capacity to meet new demands, and decode new formats, growing and changing
as your needs do.
Powerful 16 Bit Microprocessor
Non-Volatile RAM on each DRL2E line card module for the programmable configuration and the 256 event memory buffer.
Communication Formats Available:
- ITI
- SIA (FSK) format, tone and data acknowledge (Level 1, 2, 3).

DRL2E Digital Receiver Line
Card Module
|
The DRL2 E includes many features, all designed to make the receiver easier to use.
Separate Liquid Crystal
displays, microprocessors and power supplies for each of the line cards and for the CPM2,
combined with special programming, means independence - all your eggs are not in the same
basket. The line cards can even keep working with the CPM2 removed from the rack. |

SG-DRL-IP
Network Line Card Module
|
SG-DRL-IP
Network Line Card Module
The DRL-IP receiver line card is designed to
integrate with the Sur-Gard MLR2 family of central station
receivers. It provides seamless integration within a monitoring
facility, and instantly adds network support to existing automation
software. As a facility grows, the receiver can be expanded to
support up to a total of 15 DRL-IP modules per receiver. All
information communicated to the DRL-IP module is displayed on two
large LCD screens.
The new T-Link TCP/IP (Internet Protocol)
transmitter works within your existing Intranet (LAN and WAN) to
communicate alarm signals efficiently and economically to the new
DRL-IP central station receiver line card or to The Reporter IP™
monitoring software. Constant connection to the monitoring station
provides for a fully supervised link between the module and the
panel. Any indication of tampering or network connection trouble is
detected by the module, which allows the administrator to respond to
the situation instantly. Through the use of DSC’s DLS-3 or System
Administrator software, site administrators can request information
from the panel, change user information, generate status reports,
gather daily maintenance details (schedules, arm/disarm information)
from a personal computer via the TCP/IP network. |

MLRV-A - DOWNLOOK VIDEO RECEIVER MODULE
|
The MLRV-A is a single-line video receiver module
designed to add Downlook video capabilities to the Sur-Gard MLR2-DG
Digital Receiver.
The MLRV-A Module may be connected to any DRL2E Line Card installed
in the MLR2-DG Receiver. In its maximum configuration, the MLR2-DG
Receiver can monitor up to 14 digital lines or a combination of MLRV-A
Modules and digital lines
The MLRV-A, via the DML5A backplane, provides for
two video outputs: a simple coaxial output to a video monitor and a
video data bus output for PC connection. The DLGB Downlook grabber
board and the PSA software must be used for PC connection. |
